Tehama County narcotic task force agents raided a medical marijuana dispensary operated by a Corning City Council candidate at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Search warrants were served at Tehama Herbal Collective, 1317 Solano St., and at Ken Prather’s home on the 700 block of Walnut Street, the Tehama Interagency Drug Enforcement task force reported. Arrests, drugs, firearms and U.S. currency has connected Corning to a large-scale marijuana cultivation and distribution organization that spans the state from Los Angeles to Tehama County. The local connection was first revealed on Aug. 27 in Colusa County when the California Highway Patrol made a traffic stop on Jesus Pablo Lara, 47, who had left a Donnovan Avenue residence in Corning about an hour earlier.
