Marysville police raided a medical marijuana dispensary Wednesday afternoon after a previous cease-and-desist order failed to prevent the operators from continuing to do business. No one had been arrested an hour after officers entered the building at 825 Ninth St., across from the Yuba County Government Center. Prompted by roughly 35 medical marijuana advocates — including one who used the public comment period to play a Native American tune on a flute made of bone — the Marysville City Council voted 3-1 Tuesday night to change future meetings so public comment will be near the end, rather than at the beginning. A vocal standing-room-only crowd at Marysville City Hall gave the public comment microphone a rare workout Tuesday night, as one by one, area residents supported a medical marijuana dispensary that has been operating in the city since late 2009.
